Emcee

Pace Rubadeau

Having called Portland home for nearly six years, Pace Rubadeau now resides in Bellingham, Washington. He is the leader and trumpet player for Hot House Jazz Band, and tends bar at local gem Elizabeth Station.

Veterans of the PDX community know Pace as the former frontman for trad jazz outfit Inspirational Beets, as well as producer and curator for a number of swing-era events that united the scene on and off the dance floor, including but not limited to: Stumptown Speakeasy at the Crystal Ballroom; vintage cruises aboard the Portland Spirit featuring special guests such as Tamar Korn; field-trips on booze buses to historic dance halls, and a grand soiree for the Oregon debut of New Orleans’ own Tuba Skinny.

This will mark Pace’s sixth time as our emcee and third time representing B’ham.
